How we can help - A few words from Mark Weare

The late Glen Travis Campbell, singer, guitarist, songwriter, television host, and actor, was first
diagnosed with Dementia in 2011. He passed away on August 8, 2017.

Today some 436,366 Australians live with dementia and almost 1.5 million Australians are involved in their care. My own Father Ken passed away also from Dementia the same year, and I knew I needed to do something to help others going through this illness.

Dementia doesn’t discriminate, and affects thinking, behavior and the ability to perform
everyday tasks. Brain function is affected enough to interfere with the person’s normal social
or working life.

Growing up with the music of Glen Campbell, it was clear with my musical background the
Glen Campbell and Friends Show was going to happen. Our show Southern Nights are proud
to partner with Dementia Australia with part of the proceeds of your ticket sales being
donated to help support awareness of Dementia.

If you or someone you know is living from Dementia, call the National Dementia Helpline on

1800 100 500

Together – we can make a difference. So if you love Glen’s music then come join the show,
Glen Campbell and Friends Show – Southern Nights coming to a venue near you.

Cheers,

Mark Weare
